Diazepam Injection 10mg/2ml is a benzodiazepine medication used to treat acute anxiety, convulsions, and severe muscle spasms. It acts on the central nervous system to produce calming, anticonvulsant, and muscle-relaxant effects.

Pharmacological Action
Enhances the effect of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter that decreases abnormal brain activity and reduces anxiety or seizures.
Indications
- Acute anxiety and agitation
- Seizures, status epilepticus
- Severe muscle spasm
- Adjunct in anesthesia (premedication)
Dosage and Administration
- Adults: 2–10mg slow IV injection (may repeat as needed).
- Children: 0.1–0.3mg/kg IV slowly.
- Administer only by trained healthcare professionals.
Contraindications
- Severe respiratory insufficiency
- Myasthenia gravis
- Hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines
