Product description
The SureSign Digital Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is a professional, clinically validated diagnostic device engineered for reliable cardiovascular monitoring in residential and home care settings. Hypertension is a major, often silent contributor to stroke and cardiac complications across East Africa. In Tanzania, regular blood pressure tracking is increasingly vital to managing metabolic health and preventing cardiovascular emergencies. This digital monitor features an oscillometric measurement system that takes the guesswork out of readings, providing precise systolic, diastolic, and pulse measurements at the press of a button. Designed with user compliance in mind, its universal cuff and intuitive interface make it an indispensable health asset for families, elderly individuals, and hypertensive patients managing long-term treatment plans.
Models & SizesThis device is a standard, fully automatic digital upper arm model. It comes equipped with a universal, ergonomically shaped D-ring cuff that fits comfortably on arm circumferences ranging from 22 cm to 42 cm, accommodating a wide range of adult patients.
Intended UsesIndicated for the non-invasive measurement, monitoring, and recording of arterial systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as heart rate pulse, in adult individuals at home or in clinical out-patient environments.
Operating InstructionsBefore testing, sit quietly and rest for at least 5 minutes. Remove tight-fitting clothing from your upper left arm. Wrap the cuff snugly around your bare arm, approximately 1 to 2 cm above the elbow joint, ensuring the air tube runs straight down the center of your inner arm aligned with your middle finger. Sit with your feet flat on the floor, back supported, and rest your arm on a flat table so the cuff sits at the exact same level as your heart. Press the Start button to begin automatic inflation. Remain completely still, calm, and do not speak during the inflation or deflation cycle. Once the measurement completes, the screen will simultaneously display your systolic and diastolic pressure alongside your heart rate. Record your readings or save them directly to the built-in internal memory bank.
Potential RisksMinor localized skin bruising or superficial petechiae if the cuff inflates over fragile skin; temporary mild discomfort or compression anxiety during maximum cuff inflation; inaccurate diagnostic logs if proper resting protocols or cuff placement steps are ignored.
CompatibilityCompatible with standard AAA alkaline batteries, standard 6V AC/DC external power adapters, and universal replacement blood pressure cuffs featuring standard hose connector pegs.
WarningsDo not use this monitor on infants, young children, or individuals who cannot give clear consent. Avoid wrapping the cuff over a wound, an intravenous line, or an active arteriovenous shunt, as temporary blood flow obstruction could cause injury. Consult a physician before use if you suffer from severe cardiac arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation, as irregular pulse patterns can distort measurement accuracy. Do not adjust prescribed medication dosages based on self-measurements; always consult your healthcare provider or physician in Dar es Salaam or local clinical networks for diagnostic interpretation.

Mechanism of OperationThe SureSign Blood Pressure Monitor operates using advanced digital oscillometric technology. As the integrated micro-air pump inflates the cuff, it safely occludes the brachial artery, completely stopping regional blood flow. The device then begins a controlled, step-wise deflation process. As the cuff pressure gradually drops, the blood begins to push back through the opening artery, creating subtle, rhythmic oscillations in the arterial wall. These physical vibrations generate corresponding pressure waves within the air bladder of the cuff. Highly sensitive internal electronic pressure transducers continuously measure these micro-oscillations. The integrated microprocessor executes a refined algorithm to identify the point where oscillations first sharply increase—defining the Systolic Blood Pressure—and the point where oscillations rapidly stabilize or drop off, defining the Diastolic Blood Pressure. The frequency of these waveforms over time is calculated to accurately deliver the patient's pulse rate.
