Alcef 1g With Water For Injection

Alcef 1g Injection contains Ceftriaxone Sodium 1g, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a broad range of bacterial infections. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is suitable for hospital or clinic use.

Main Indications

• Respiratory tract infections
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Gonorrhea

Dosage and Administration

• Adults: 1–2g once daily or divided into two doses.
• Children: 50–75 mg/kg/day depending on severity.
• Administer intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) after reconstitution.

Side Effects

• Injection site pain, rash, diarrhea, nausea
• Rarely: allergic reactions or elevated liver enzymes

Warnings/Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins.
• Adjust dosage in renal impairment.
